I know it wasn't that bad, I just thought the movie needed to be mentioned. I loved this movie so much I am thinking about going to see it again in the theaters. The violence was so over the top it had to be mentioned in this thread.

In the movie Life of David Gale when you see the video of Laura Linney's character flopping around on the floor with the bag over her head. That scene makes me gasp everytime.

Nobody mentioned Jaws 1 or Jaws 2.

I mean, the first shark attack in Jaws 1 is nightmare-inducing! And the "Sea Witch" (I think that's what the little boat is called) scene in Jaws II where the chick's boyfriend is eaten right in front of her is also pretty wicked.

Also the part in Jaws II where you see the shark coming up behind the chick that fell into the water with the youngest kid and he sees the shark gulp her....right in front of him!

Awesome!!!!

It doesn't make me cringe but I know people who can't stand the sound of scratching a chalkboard, even in movies.

For me, ANY movie that has the sound of styrofoam being rubbed is the ultimate cringe..... I'm cringing just thinking about it now.....

The Rules of Attraction suicide scene is one of the only scenes that I nearly just up and left the theater.

Fingernail scene in Stir of Echos. Or really any fingernail scene, but this started it for me.

The Ring - the nail through the fingernail
28 Days Later - when Jim pushes his fingers into a soldier's eye sockets
Band of Brothers - in the episode The Breaking Point a soldier is shot through the neck and all of the innards are showing
Pulp Fiction - adrenaline shot being administered
Dead Alive - the custard scene and tranquilizer shot through the nose and eyeball

That's the scene that made me want to post here.

The zombie versus shark is kickass! (However, does not make me cringe.)

Another quite memorable scene, as someone mentioned already, is in Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead) when Lionel's mother ends up swallowing her own decayed ear after it has fallen in her thick pudding. Now, the ear has a huge pearl earing on it when it falls off. It's the only scene to EVER make me gag involuntarily. I thought I was going to puke.

Third act of Dany Boyles Sunshine when they decide to reveal the walking, talking, extra crispy breast and wing combo from KFC. So Lame... it was a moderately descent flick up to that point, but then it just lost so much of its pseudo credibility. Seriously the guys costume was so lame that anytime he came on screen they had to add a post production haze/mist effect that had absolutely no context. All that third act needed was a f$%cking biscuit and some potatoe wedges and it would of been a meal.
