This thread comes off of PH's nudie thread. I would like to start this discussion with some names that came to mind....

Pamela Anderson (NOT!!!

Okay seriously,

1) Dame Judi Dench (thank God)
2) Maggie Smith (Again, thank the good Lord)
3) Rene Zellweger
4) Jennifer Aniston (I know that her action some would consider questionable)
5) I don't want to hog the whole thread so...what do YOU think?

Then there is the list that I will start for Tomdkat:

1) Jessica Alba (World renowned star - NOT starlet

)
2) Jessica Biel (definite rising star)
3) Jessica Simpson (a diamond in the rough)

Kirsten Dunst, Anna Paquin, Lindsay Lohan, Elisha Cuthbert, and about a billion other teen stars. I don't know if we're counting teens. I think Dunst and Paquin both said in interviews they wouldn't mind a nude scene for the right film, though. Lindsay Lohan said in a recent interview she would go topless for an Oscar role.

It is going to be harder than you think, but before elwood speaks, I don't think that's indicitive of anything.

Most of the risque scenes in Pretty Woman aren't even Julia. That, of course, would bring a whole other demension to this discussion--how many actresses have ACTUALLY done nude scenes and not used a body double?

For the record Dilmo, you just made my imagination blind with the Dench/Smith enlightenment post.

I guess we can list a ton of teenies that have never done and when I started the thread I understood that "greatest female actors" was subjective but...

Personally I would put Kate Bosworth on the "great up and coming" but Lindsay Lohan wouldn't even make the list....Alison Lohman I would consider another great up and coming...I really enjoy her on film...Natalie Portman, I would even struggle with considering Kirsten Dunst as a good actor - nice to look at but in the talent departmen, unless she is donig a british accent

I would agree actually. Honestly that was a movie that was portraying her sexual behavior as deviant and addicting, rather than enjoyable, so adding to the appeal of the sex scenes with nudity might very well have been more out of place than realistic. It really is a fine line.

And the rape scene in THE ACCUSED (from what I remember) didn't have any nude/flesh scenes shown (thank God as it was harrowing enough as it was), but I haven't seen it for many years so my memory may be jaded.

I am surprised and dissappointed that Piratehunter has not been able to contribute any names since he is the one that started this nudey-pa-tudey discussion in the first place. What I am concluding is that any actress that is worth her salt has done some sort of nudity in at least one film...what do you think PH?

5. Ziyi Zhang
