That's what selling loads of crack to the elderly will do for you, my man.

Speaking of which, how are your grandparents? Joints aching? I can help with that...

Nice setup there guys. Am I the only one here with only one next-gen system, the Gamecube? Seems like everyone has at least two, and most have three.

I only have one the ps2,By the way i don't know what its name is but i need one of those things that lets you connect more than one game system to a TV and all you have to do is push something to make it switch to each one. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

You need an audio/video switcher. You can pick one up at Radio Shack/Sears/Circuit City or a variety of other places.

lol

I was expecting some elaborate piece of Swedish wooden architecture.

And Elwood, yeah, you'd need a switcher. Luckily most TVs come with multiple video inputs, and surround sound receivers do as well. I have my Xbox plugged into one of the component inputs on my TV (the digital audio goes to the receiver, though), and my Gamecube and Dreamcast into the receiver.

Come on now, you can't get more elaborate than this...

(Seriously, it takes a genious to put something like that together. )

[edit: I'm aware that I probably spelled genious wrong.]

It's Spice and is available in the US. In Japan one of the systems colors were Spice also. Too bad it didn't make it over here though. I had to settle on Jet Black.

Crow T. Robot, there's a cheap switchbox made by Pelican that can be found at most major retailers. Don't spend more than $20 on it though. And if you have an expensive (read: good) home theater I would imagine you'd see a pretty big drop in the A/V quaility.

Since you have a PS2 you may be interested in getting Interact's A/V box. Its design is similar looking to a PS2.

That's exactly what the Pelican box looks like. Except with 'Pelican' on top.

Yeah. There's a scene where Tyler calls the main character IKEA boy somewhere in there. (It's been a while since I've seen the movie.)

Just make sure you get a good one. Lower quality will degrade your video, so remember that you get what you pay for.

Anyone ever see a component switch? I only got my dvd player goign thru component and my systems connecting with my dish network into the television via s-video. I'd love to have a component switch for my game systems and dvd player.

Your welcome, I've got the 1155 switcher for my Xbox and PS2. Now I can run 5.1 surround which adds a nice flavor to playing games. These units are on the expensive side, so you may also want to check RatShack and see if they offer a switcher as well, it'd probably be cheaper. I think Sony may sell a component switcher too, but I'm not positive.

Best of luck.

I think I need to go back and rewatch Fight Club, as I don't remember that. Man, what a movie...

Now, someone give me advice on how to convince my wife that we should ditch the entertainment center and go with a component rack setup.

Easy, just point out that big "new" scratch (hey, how'd that get there!!) in the entertainment center. Then tell her how much easier it is to clean component racks versus big ol' entertainment centers.

Good luck!
