Four next gen systems next to one TV? I've never seen such a thing in my life!

That's why I had to get a pic!
My HT is in the basement and it was cool having systems hooked up to it but there are disadvantages to having you games hooked up there. I for one like to play games on a small screen and I don't really like how many of the graphics look on a projection TV. They are much sharper on a direct view set where as you want sofetr images for Movies.

Plus, its always better to have a dedicated TV for games, since the family always wants the home theatre setup for watching TV and movies, and that severly cuts into gaming time...

Or is that just me?

Exactly! My son likes to play alot of the games too and I don't want him always watching our TV or having to go down in the basement and be away from us.

If joe has 4 next gen systems next to his tv, well just wait 'til I get my gamecube and my xbox. (gamecube is being shipped as we speak.) I'll have 5! Dreamcast, PS2, GBA, Xbox, & Gamecube. (GBA Counts since I alwayz leave it on top of my tv ) I'm gonna try to take a pic as well of my setup once I get all my stuff hoked up. It'll be sawweeeet! I'll also have my SNES, NES, Genesis, Playstation, N64, & a Game Gear. Not trying to be mean or anything though. Am I pushing it?

I agree with you Joe. And Ive heard that its better for your eyes.
Does anyone know if theirs and medical disadvantages to playing on a larger display. I was just wondering because I've noticed in Nintendo product owners manuals, theirs a warning that says to always play on the smallest screen avaliable. It dosn't say why, But I think it may have some thing to do with your vision . Ive only seen this warning on Nintendo products though.

The only thing I can think of is that those who are prone to motion sickness from video/computer games will have more of their vision taken up by bigger screens and thus get sick more easily.

That might be it. I've always seen warnings about motion sickness in nintendo manuals. First noticed this on waverace for n64.

Heres my setup, with the ps1, dc, xbox, gc, snes, n64 all hooked up. My room is kind of a mess at the moment, and i haven't gotten speakers for my receiver yet. I have my older systems close by as well, for when i want a sense of nostalgia, and my genesis is hooked up to a monitor on the other side of my room.

This tv also has a dvd, betamax, and a laserdisc player hooked up.

Very cool, Joe & Brian.

My digital camera sucks major ass, so there has to be a huge amount of light in the room for the picture to come out decent, so I'll post mine tomorrow. It's nothing spectacular, but it's basically my entertainment center since my oldest son moved out.

BTW: Joe, where'd you get that stand you have everything in? I definately need one similar. Also, how big is the Wega?

Here's my cheesy setup. I'm going to connect all my other systems later, but for now I'm satisfied.

Top: GameCube and 19" RCA
First Shelf: Dreamcast
Second: DVD Player
Third: Nothing as of now

NOTE: If it doesn't appear, either right-click and click on 'Show Picture' or hit refresh in your browser.

Well, later in the summer, when I get my Xbox, and when I finally get my sister to ship me my Sega Genesis, I'll take another picture. I will be taking a pic of my computer, but my computer area is a big mess due to sitting on my ass every day after school.

This is a slightly outdated pic, but it works. It's missing the SNES, N64, Gamecube, and DVD player. But it has my PC

I noticed a Voodoo5 package on your shelf. Is that card still installed on your system, or have you upgraded since then?

Still running the old thing. Works great for 2d things, and most 3d games, but of course newer ones are starting to show old driver bugs and slower performance.

Waiting to see what comes out this fall, but if a good sale comes up, I'll go for a Geforce4 TI4600.
