PS3 outselling 360 this year by almost one million units - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Just to balance out the other threads on here, the 360 is actually very far behind the PS3 this year in units sold, as well as the Wii and PS2.

The Figures.

I'm actually rather surprised, I knew the Wii was kicking ass and the 360 and PS3 were far behind, but I had no idea the PS3 was in better shape as far as units sold this year. Will the margin continue to grow until the PS3 pulls ahead? Will the $400 unit make it win the holiday? Will the 360's massive software coop this holiday pull it back to the front?

This holiday should be interesting.

I never cared 2 shits what console SOLD better I care that I have the console that has better games, features and performance. But as those numbers show people don't care. Also those numbers showed software sales numbers but not the 360s. PS3 is at 23 million thats ok. But I can probably name just a few titles on the 360 that could beat that 23 million starting with halo 3. Numbers don't really impress me and not sure why they matter to anyone other than the companies that make the product.

Same reason football stats matter to people who watch the game I guess, people like getting involved and trying to predict what will happen, it's a natural thing. I own all three consoles and love two of them (the Wii is shit)... I have no fanboy bias but I do love reading into the news and shit and seeing what will happen.

Look at how our HD forum exploded, mostly from people chatting about war politics between the two formats.

Anyway, this is mostly a response to certain other thread postings that showed only US numbers and got certain people to think the PS3 was selling crappy across the board.

Well if all the developers put little green and purple haired anime girls in all there games for the Japanese market everything would sell through the roof. Of course they would also have to speak in nonsensical dialog too.

Who gives a crap what games Europe and Asia are getting and how many they are selling. As long as WE get the good games.
