Last I heard it was coming out in the spring or summer this year and that was late last year.I haven't heard anything since.

I was in Gamestop today and they had them for sale. I'm not sure if this is something YMMV or if all Gamestop's have them out though.

What's the fascination with a controller that vibrates? I'm perfectly fine with the default sixaxis controller.

Any word on whether the rumble functionality will make the new Sixaxis heavier? It seems logical that it would, and I for one hope it does.

Yeah, I hope so. The one thing I loved about the original PS controller was the weight. The rumble-less controller feels like a feather.

Some folks who claim they got it early say its practically identical in weight compared to the PS2 dual shock. I might pick one up, the original PS3 one is ok but everytime I press the triggers I feel I'm gonna snap them off.

Yep, same weight.

Even if not all games rumble, I prefer it over the standard one. It doesn't feel like it is gonna crumble in your hands.

I never really understood why people complained about how light weight the PS3 controller is... I love that it is so light.
