PS3 or HDTV?
out of the 2 what should I get this tv [link]http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10093145&catid=23515&logon=&langid=EN [/link]
or a PS3? I have Xbox 360 got it about 5 month's ago. It would look so much better on an HDTV then my current 20inch Toshiba CRT TV. I also want to get iiinto Blu ray movies. Keep in mind my setup would be in a small bed room. So should save more and get both or one over the other? thanks BSW

I too would go with the HDTV before you go with a PS3 system. Since you are linking to Future Shop, I'm wondering if you have thought about doing the equal monthly payments with their Credit Card? I doing it with my HDTV and has so far been good and easy to do. Like littlebob said though is that you won't really get to enjoy the true nature of High Def with the 19 inch tv especially with the Scope Blu-ray movies you would probably buy later on to enjoy.
They do have a Toshiba 32" for $599

HDTV... by xmas you will be able to get a profile 2.0 blu-ray player for $250, so enjoy 360 for now on HDTV and pick up BD when its cheaper.
PS3 by itself is a total waste for gaming b/c there are less than 10 good games that are not on 360 already IMO. Also, I would watch out with the non-brand TVs. Some of them have utter shit deinterlacing, which will make your cable/sat HDTV sources look like shit (since many are 1080i). Toshiba makes great stuff, though. This one looks good: Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Toshiba 32" Widescreen LCD HDTV** (32HL57)

Shocking that it's the truth you mean??
I would go with an HD display no doubt. Wouldn't worry about a PS3 even down the road like Ruined said. If you are really itching for a BR player later on you can get one when the prices drop. Then you'll have a better stand along BR player and a better gaming system in the 360. Not really much of a dilemma.

I have to agree with the HDTV over the PS3. Right now, there is not enough of a reason to justigy a PS3. Specially if you don't have an HDTV to enjoy it on. PS3s will someday come down in price. By then, you will have enjoyed your HDTV for a long time. When the PS3 is actually a good value, you can pick that up and wnjoy ti as well on your HDTV

The Panasonic BD50 clearly looks like it will be the better movie player than the PS3 to me: PS3 can't bitstream nextgen codecs. The Panasonic BD50 can. PS3 can't decode DTS-HDMA. The Panasonic BD50 can. PS3 doesn't have analog 5.1 outs. The Panasonic BD50 does. PS3 can get loud with stage2/3 fan ramp ups, especially if in an A/V rack. Panasonic BD50 doesn't need a big fan and is always silent like the BD30. PS3 is large. Panasonic BD50 is small. PS3 is ugly (IMO). Panasonic BD50 is sleek. PS3 is not stackable with other CE components. Panasonic BD50 is stackable. PS3 requires a bluetooth remote incompatible with your Universal. Panasonic BD50 uses compatible IR. Panasonic BD50 is very fast and has all the existing movie features of PS3, plus BD profile 2.0 support. So overall I think the BD50 will be the new BD movie player champ. The BD50 will likely be affordable by xmas (certainly in the same range as PS3) and there will be other profile 2.0 options as well by then like the Sony 550. For now, HDTV + 360 will deliver you the best experience in gaming, period; PS3 has less than half as many games as 360 and most multiplatform games (which make up the bulk of the PS3 library) run the same or worse on PS3 (these two points are not my opinion, but fact that is backed up by gamerankings.com). Around xmas snag a profile 2.0 standalone BD player that will likely be better for movies than the PS3 and you will have the best of both worlds (360 for gaming & BD2.0 standalone for movies both on an HDTV). Let them gouge the early adopters like me on the BD50 (and Sony 550), just hold off around 6 months and you'll be able to find a great deal on probably what will be the best quality-per-dollar BD players of the year (assuming all goes well).

Thanks for the input everyone. I have made my mind up. I am going to save more and get am HDTV at least 32inch for my bed room. I only Wish I could find A 32inch with 1080P. What's the smallest LCD that has 1080p?

At 32" you are not going to see any difference between 720p and 1080p if you sit more than 3' from the set IMO.
