Top 10 Controllers of All Time

Top 10 Best Controllers of All Time Gallery and Images - GameDaily

It should be noted that I have not used all the controllers on the list, but overall I can't say I have any major complaints.

Although its sheer size and complexity makes me feel maybe the Steel Battalion controller should've gotten the number 1 spot instead of 10. Then again, maybe the fact that it only works on one game is enough to bump it down to the bottom of the list...

My only other comment is that while I love the 360 controller and am happy to see its awesomeness being recognized on the list, its d-pad is a piece of shit and because of it maybe the controller should've been one or two spots lower.

The idea of "best controller" is really quite silly... every controller is better for some things, worse for others.

The 360 pad is amazing for first-person shooters, but in my opinion the PS3 pad is better for third-person games like God of War.

Also, as you point out, the D-pad sucks... I'll be getting Street Fighter HD Remix for the PS3, as well as any puzzle game on both systems (I wish they would release Lumines on PS3). Also, I don't care what anyone says, it's awesome that the PS3 controller is light as hell.

The Gamecube controller was AMAZING for Nintendo games, but only for Nintendo games.

And it goes on and on...

Also, no keyboard and mouse? Ridiculous!

Well, yeah, granted. I suppose a more proper title would be "Top 10 Console Controllers of All Time."
