I tried 'dead or alive' then 'dead or alive topless' (cause i remembered it being about the rumored topless mode). Plus, I scanned through the pages in the game software section and found nothing (it only let me see two pages )

A Tecmo representitave reported today at 4:42 eastern time that the plans to "push the threashhold of sexuality" of the upcoming title Dead or Alive Hardcore Beach VolleyBall, will go through some changes in the United States Release. Team Leader for "Kunichi" (a code name for the project), Sung hi Maigaisaken has stated:

"Due to the sexual nature of the game, we do not feel at this time that it would be of Tecmo's best interest as a company to release it. There are plans underway to meet the November deadline with a release in both Japan and America simultaniously. Sexual content will be left to a minimum, however, in the form of a "Booster Disc", Players will be able to purchase the unedited pack dirrectly from Tecmo Online. The nature of the situation has subjected us to moderate the purchase to those 18 and up. Thank you"

Of course 99.99% of the Gamefaqs.com posters would concoct this in their pathetic little brains but at least it sounds official. If it is I'm sure every major Xbox site will make mention of it.

I just got the latest official xbox magazine, and it had an article on mature subject matter in video games, even bringing this title up and others. I don't recall it saying anything about the game being edited for the American public or the need for a booster disc to get the unedited version. The articled said that a recent poll revealed that the average game players age is now 26 so we should expect to see a lot of mature subject matter games coming out.

Since this was just a recent announcement, the magazine's lead time wouldn't have allowed it to get it in this month's issue.

Of course, I am not saying it is true. Considering I haven't read anything about this on GameSpot or IGN, I seriously doubt it.

Oh good timing with this thread coming back up. I just got a DOA Xterme Volleyball Calendar from my Xbox rep today! I'll have to see if I can borrow a digital camera and show off the months.

If anyone felt Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, filled with oodles of curvaceous hunnies, was in need of a little testoterone, they can relax. That need has been met. Former NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman has been tapped to voice Zack in Tecmo's upcoming volleyball game.
Rodman will play host to the numerous hotties tricked into visiting Zack Island. For those who've never heard of or aren't interested in DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball, you can turn off your monitor and walk away. If you're still reading this, then you are likely a male aged 7-105. Now listen to what Dennis Rodman has to say about being selected to voice Zack:
"I am a big fan of the Dead or Alive series and was flattered when Tecmo asked me to play Zack. He is one wild character, just like me, and a bit of a prankster, which I can relate to. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball is my kind of game, if you know what I mean."
