Final Fantasy X-2

First read : this article

Does this seem like one of the worst ideas EVER? I mean a spinoff of FFX would be pretty cool, but why give Yuna guns? I totally dont get what they are trying to do with it... also whats up with the platformer element that they are talking about, last time I checked ff was strictly an rpg, and I would hope it would stay that way... In a nutshell I see potential for disaster here, I hope Squaresoft knows what they are doing

I have mixed feelings about this title as well. I agree that the idea of guns is pretty silly. From what I've been reading it sounds like the gameplay may be similar to kingdom hearts, except for the battles which are still classic FF style rather than the real-time battles in Kingdom Hearts. One thing I noticed in one of the screen shots is that where the attack order bar was now said Active Mode. Does this mean that they are bringing back ATB from the previous FF games??.......I sure hope they do!

I think this will be a bad idea. None of the other FF's have had direct sequels, and I really don't see the need. I'd rather have FFXII early, but that's just me...

Anyway it's Square, so I'm sure it will be good.

I don't think this sounds good at all but I was not a big fan of FFx. In my personal opinion I would rather have a follow up to FF7 or FF3 then I might be cool with this whole idea.

I would love a follow up to FF3. A follow up to FF7 would also be cool, since the story left a lot of questions unanswered, but FF3 (or 6) is my favorite of the entire series and I would buy a new system just to play that game...but I'd rather not wait for a new system to come out

if they make this game, it will be disasterous. Just due to the fact that
1. yuna has guns
2. Its a spinoff
3. In most spinoffs, the story has to be stretched out and it usually makes the game suck really bad.
