Only future games created specifically with online play will be able to go online. Network style games like HALO will not be compatible but can be played ONLINE right now using Gamespy and gamespy tunnel software.

Halo cannot currently be played on XBOX Live, but it can be played through the internet with XBCONNECT, which can be found at:

Microsoft has stated there will be a minimum of 50 XBOX Live games by the end of 2003.

Confirmed Live Games include:

How is MotoGP going to be playable when it's already out? And why can't however that's being done be done with games like Halo?

The XBOX Live starter kit will include a demo of MotoGP that will upgrade your full retail version to Live. It probably could be done with *some* of the games out that support netlink, but the games would have to be somewhat upgradable in the first place. I'm guessing that they may have had Live in mind for MotoGP in the first place, but wanted to get it out the door. As for Halo, currently it's netlink is a bandwidth hog, so some major changes would have to be made to the network engine in order for it to support Live, which likely would not be possible through a booster disc.
