I love it. Mostly because so many Apple campaigns I've found insulting at best, disgusting at worse.

Every time I see one of those Apple commercials I yell out "LIES! All LIES!"

Even if I'm alone. Which should probably worry me.

Mission Thunderbolt is still one of my all time favorite games, it was a Rogue clone (but set in the future) and was Mac only...but this was many, many, many years ago.

But lets not forget that the very first CD Rom game was for the Mac, Starship Warlock.

it really wasn't very good though.

I hate those damned "Switch" commercials... Ugh!

This is pretty hilarious though...

Monkey Switch

Basically a rip off of Ellen Feiss.

Monkey switch was cute but not as funny as the gamer one.

Upgradeing a Mac is easy. You just throw it out and...buy a new one

Anti- no I just chose to go with the PC. As far as the Switch advertisements.... well it seems like the people on them are just to stupid to use a pc because I have been able to do all those things without trouble and without a mac.

Of cource if putting people into simplistic catagories like "anti" and "pro" appeal to you than well go ahead.

What, Ellen Feiss's "Bleep bleep bleep" argument didn't convince you?

I agree with everything Istagi stated. I have nothing against Mac's, but PC's are just better for me for what i do.

Though I'm not a particular fan of Mac, I'm not anti. But their ad campaigns I do hate.

Oh come on, Ellen Feiss had got to be one of the cutest stoner's I ever did see

As for Mac vs. PC?

There is no competition, each has its great uses. And each one has its unfortunate down sides.

Just out of curiousity, has Apple figured out the wonder of a second mouse button on their latest machines? Also, can you eject a disc or CD via a hardware button yet, or is it still through a menu?

As a Mac fan I would like to point out that the Switch campaign is retarded. but I think they are aiming toward a lower user level demographic with those comercials.

I use a PC with XP for my day to day computing and for gaming, a Mac for Photoshop/design and layout and all pre-press work, and at home I'm running Madrake on my older PC. I'm happy with all these operating systems for the tasks I need them for.

What is a lower user level demographic? Do you mean a younger crowd? Or people who rally arent familiar with macs?

I think this thread sums up my opinion, and why I think this ad campaign is personally demeaning.

But, if it's not demeaning to you, that's fine.

I won't think anything about you... <:snigger:> honest.
just kidding, of course.

Not younger, just people with less computer skills.

The current campaign I find stupid and a little insulting.

The "Think Different" campaign I found out right disgusting. Using the causes and lives of people like Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi to sell computers just reeks of egotism and poor taste, IMO.
