Silent Hill 1 & 2 are both great survival horror games. I feel they are way more scary and creepy than the Resident Evil series, though they are also more difficult.

Shenmue 2 for my birthday (tomorrow). Haven't played yet but I have the DVD in right now. (Which looks much better than people made it out to be.)

I picked up Robotech: Battlecry on XBOX for $25 today. Damn, I can get Xbox games for a lot less than my gamecube...

Either way, Robotech is a great game...I'm a fan of the series so it's waaay cool piloting Veritech ships.

It hasn't arrived yet, but I ordered the Arc the Lad collection from EBGames, who are selling it for $49.99, the lowest price I've seen. I also ordered the Contra/Castlevania collection, which doesn't seem to be offered by anyone else.

If you don't have Xbox Live and Unreal Championship, nows the time to get it! I got a compusa gift card today from a relative, so I headed over to pick up Live. To my surprise, Unreal was $30.00 when you bought Live, so I got both for the sweet price of $34.00. The deals good until Dec. 14.

Nothing beats that! I've been playing MechAssault with a bunch of cool people, I can't wait for the next live night!

Loaded (PSX) Greatest Hits Used for $6. I wanted the long-box version but this opportunity presented itself first.

I recently bought the Civ III and Tropico expansions, but those are Christmas presents for someone else.

My Castlevania/Contra collection arrived. The neat thing is that its box is meant to look like the boxes that NES games came in (though it is a tad bigger).

Picked up NFL2K3 for under $30. Since I generally suck at sports games, anybody who wants to play and get what is most likely an easy win PM me.

I just got Heroes of Might and Magic IV as an early Christmas present to myself. Even if you've played Heroes I, II, and III, there's still a pretty steep learning curve--it comes with a 120-page manual that you've pretty much got to read before you can play, because a lot of rules have been changed and added since Heroes III. Some of the 40+ scenarios apparently take about ten hours each. Now that's hardcore gaming.

I bought Dead to Rights for the Game Cube on Tuesday. It's pretty cool.

The disarms are bad ass, but the game's been made so easy for GC and PS2 that you rarely need to use them. You won't find yourself hurting for ammo much. Most of the time I'll just holster my guns and disarm a room full of guys if there's an extra armor laying around.

I'm thinking of getting Serious Sam for Xbox or Animal Crossing for GC this weekend. Serious Sam looks like it would get old very quickly and Animal Crossing looks to be a pretty tedious experience, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Game-wise I've picked up Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Minority Report: Everybody Runs. Both are pretty kickass games that I got for good prices.

I got Timesplitters 2 for $39.99 new, been waiting foir a price drop on it...

The game is excellent too, all around a perfect FPS really. I actually enjoy it more than Halo, and there's a lot more to it than Nightfire. All FPS fans need it, for sure.

No idea what any of that meant...BUT

Minority Report is really fun, but it's sensless violence and it does a really bad job of carrying a story. The graphics aren't amazing, either; but sometimes I just need a game where I can check my brain at the door and have fun...and that's what this does.

If you like that style game, you should probably snag New Legends and Serious Sam for XBOX, too.
