I just got Heroes of Might and Magic IV as an early Christmas present to myself. Even if you've played Heroes I, II, and III, there's still a pretty steep learning curve--it comes with a 120-page manual that you've pretty much got to read before you can play, because a lot of rules have been changed and added since Heroes III. Some of the 40+ scenarios apparently take about ten hours each. Now that's hardcore gaming.

I bought Dead to Rights for the Game Cube on Tuesday. It's pretty cool.

The disarms are bad ass, but the game's been made so easy for GC and PS2 that you rarely need to use them. You won't find yourself hurting for ammo much. Most of the time I'll just holster my guns and disarm a room full of guys if there's an extra armor laying around.

I'm thinking of getting Serious Sam for Xbox or Animal Crossing for GC this weekend. Serious Sam looks like it would get old very quickly and Animal Crossing looks to be a pretty tedious experience, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Game-wise I've picked up Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Minority Report: Everybody Runs. Both are pretty kickass games that I got for good prices.

I got Timesplitters 2 for $39.99 new, been waiting foir a price drop on it...

The game is excellent too, all around a perfect FPS really. I actually enjoy it more than Halo, and there's a lot more to it than Nightfire. All FPS fans need it, for sure.

No idea what any of that meant...BUT

Minority Report is really fun, but it's sensless violence and it does a really bad job of carrying a story. The graphics aren't amazing, either; but sometimes I just need a game where I can check my brain at the door and have fun...and that's what this does.

If you like that style game, you should probably snag New Legends and Serious Sam for XBOX, too.

For Christmas I got NCAA March Madness 2003 for the Play Station 2 and the day after I bought Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for the XBox. The last game before that I bought was Mortal Kombateadly Alliance and I bought Outlaw Golf:9 Holes of X-Mas Golf for the XBox at Block Buster for $4.99 with a free rental. Next I look to get Tigger Woods Pro Golf 2003 for PS2 and Test Drive for XBox.

Well, hope you end up liking it. Link to the Past is the best in the series in many people's minds.

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

For the PS2, of course.

Awesome game, lots of fun.

My brother also bought the Sims Online.

I tried it, it seemed like an over-glorified chat room and nothing more.
