Don't know; I hope it is.

I went with what I saw on EB's website. No dimensions are specified, whether it's translucent or not, nothing. If another B&M retailer has a better offer the week it's released, I may cancel the EB pre-order and go with them.

Re: the full book on the game design: that wouldn't happen to be the Brady Games' Soul Calibur 2 Official Strategy Guide Limited Edition, would it?

Engineer_J:

Nice heads-up on the Gamestop promo. I just called the one closest to my home. It seems that they are offering both the art book and CD; all they require is a small deposit and the bonus items should be available when the game's picked up. I hope they have a preview copy of the book at the store; if it looks good, I'll pre-order the PS2 version with it (I'll still keep the Gamecube pre-order w/ EB).

I just hope Best Buy or Circuit City doesn't have any similar offers.

DVDDRIVEN,

Is the CD only for the PS2 pre-order? I assume it is a PS2 discs, but if I preorder the Gamecube one I would still want the disc.

According to Gamestop's website, the free CD comes with the PS2 pre-order only (Gamecube and Xbox owners have to settle for just the art book).

I checked a local Gamestop last week Friday. None of the store reps were aware of a bonus CD that came with the PS2 pre-order (maybe it's not available at B&M stores, only online?), but the B&M store offer was the art book and a lithograph (looks nice, but the CD's more useful to me). Now I have to decide: go with the lithograph or the CD? I've never ordered from Gamestop online, so I'm worried about the art book being damaged during transit. Decisions, decisions......

From my last post it looks like I've picked up Ikaruga, Super Mario Sunshine, Dark Cloud, Devil May Cry, and SSX Tricky... that's not including the random crap on PSX, N64, GB, etc.

I received an e-mail from a Gamestop rep informing me that the demo CD (in addition to the art book) for Soul Calibur II applies to the PS2 online pre-order only. The bonus disc includes playable demos of Kill.Switch and I-Ninja, trailers, bonus materials and demos of R: Racing Evolution, Time Crisis 3, Moto GP 3, Tekken 4, Ace Combat 4 and Xenosaga: Episode 1.

On a seperate note, recent additions include Rygar: The Legendary Adventures (PS2), Headhunter (PS2) and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (PC).

I finally broke down and bought Jet Set Radio Future. I'd been wanting it for awhile, and since I had a little extra cash, I went for it.

Since it is a Target exclusive I figured I would get it when they have it on sale.

IIRC it's not technically Target exclusive. It just didn't get much of a distribution. (I might be wrong though.)

Well I like you to find one new in another store in the US. About 99.9% sure it is a Target exclusive. Something about THQ not picking it up so Sega went through Target.

Went out and bought Wario World and Mario Golf Toadstool Tour... both are great games, I fear that Wario World could be beaten by a blindfolded chimp though...

Just picked up Silent Hill 3 last night.
Only played for about an hour or so, but so far it's great and doesn't disappoint at all. The sound design alone is reason enough to pick up this game. Akira Yamaoka is a genius.
