Your last purchase.

Mimicking the one in 'Make Mine Music' post what your last video game related purchase was.

Today I bought:
  • Dead or Alive 3 (Xbox) for $25 used (and in pristine condition)
  • Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (DC) for $8 used (also good condition)

I got Eternal Darkness when I bought my Gamecube about a month ago. That game just plain rocks, it's all I've been playing since then.

Like most DDR games, it's just more of the same, with some "new" songs, and a slicker interface. It was a "no-brainer" purchase for me, but simply because my Japanese PSX broke about a year ago, and ever since I've tried to get my hands on all the US releases so far. Also, I'm very lazy, so now, I don't have to keep swapping out my old PSX memory card everytime I need to excecise

It really plays the same otherwise. The only new addition to the folks in the US is the "hold" steps, where you have to hold your positoin on the arrow(s) for a set numner of beats. Hardly revolutionary, but pretty fun none the less!

And of course it supports any and all dance pads! I shudder at the though that anyone would play DDR any other way

To stay on topic, when I picked up DDR, I also got Tony Hawk 4, Tiger Woods 2003 and GTA:Vice City

Its a great game and the Freeze steps integrate nicely to the songs. A must for your DDR collection. Sandstorm is an awesome song to do. My metal pad is getting a work out. But I'd rather not take away from this thread. PM if you have any questions

I was never a big mech game fan, but I have heard that this game is good. Do they do online rankings? I will probably pick up next month as well and get some practice before I go online.
