Read in the new EGM that Project Gotham Racing is "part of Microsoft's new budget line"... I assume this means a Greatest Hits sort of thing, but I have never heard of it.

Anyone know when it starts, the prices, and the games?

Myabe they just mean their cheaper pricing structure. I know they have a number of games that retail for $19.99 - $29.99

EGM is not often wrong about such things... I bet this is just the start of a whole line that will begin after Christmas...

Microsoft already had a "budget line" for a while, with Amped, Project Gotham Racing, Rallisport Challenge, Azurik, and some of their other games retailing between 19.99 and 29.99...

I know that Ruined, what I'm saying is they will have a "line", with a banner on the box or new advertising, whatever, mainly to compete with PS2's "Greatest Hits" shit... Nintendo has the "Player's Choice" line on all their other consoles and I'm sure we will get Gamecube Player's Choice eventually... Microsoft will compete with that I'm sure with their "Budget Line" as EGM put it...

In other words make sure you grab the budget line titles before they get ugly cover art.

haha. Yeah it made me sick being at Target with all these $20.00 PS2 games and no PS2...I really hope GC and XBox start doing this soon.

Sad thing is I bought most of those PS2 games at full price... about the only one now I'm interested in is Virtua Fighter 4...

VF4 is at 19.99 now???

Don't hesitate to pick it up at that price if you're on the fence at all! Possibly the greatest 3D fighter ever, and without a doubt the best single player one
