Question Coolest/Hardest/Easiest Bosses

Place all your favorite boss moments here. I recently (about 5 minutes ago) had BIG problems with a pain in the ass boss in Metroid Fusion, which gave me the idea. Metroid Fusion slight non-plot spoilers below...

Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
Okay, so I jump in the hole, and this huge-ass spider comes at me, picks me up, drains half my damn life bar, then does it again and bam, I'm fucking dead. Took me 7 tries to kill this sumbitch, turns out you basically can't let him touch you AT ALL or he drains your life... bastard.

Also, Bowser at the end of Super Mario World was damn easy...

Worst boss ever was the one at the end of Xenogears, I have still yeat to beat him....

As far as Fusion goes, I beat that on Friday, not a bad game, didnt think it was all that hard at least as the bosses go... worst part about it was trying to find the right spot to bomb/shoot/jump through to advance

HOTD 3 was way to easy for a final boss, i loved fighting whats his name at the end of Jedi Knight Outcast. DOA3 was pretty decent for a fighting game but a little annoying.

You know that final level on Doom, where you enter a room with every weapon and tons of armour through a teleporter, and have to fight about 50 mega demons and several spiders with chainguns... sweet!

I don't know if it's the small screen or what but I had a hard time with that fucking spider... I'm still pissed off at him... (but I whooped his ass ).

Speaking of Doom, the part at the end of Doom 2 where you have to fight John Romero's head, now that was fuggin impossible.

And since we're also talking about FFVII, the Ruby and Emerald Weapons were both awesome and difficult. I never did beat them...

Emerald was easy with Knights of the Round, it was Ruby that was the bitch...

A friend of mine and I once stayed up all night playing Golgo 13 on the NES. That game was unbelievably long and drawn out, and it was one of the first to have many (like, 3 or 4) different "modes of play", i.e. a first-person sniper perspective, a side-scrolling perspective, a doom-ish fps perspective, etc.

Of course there was no way to save, and as I recall it had no level codes. I can't remember if there were continues, I don't think there were. Anyway, we kept barely scraping by each successive level, taking turns miraculously beating these bosses and stages, sometimes by one unit of health left.

The story unfolded (it was a James Bond deal -- you know, "Golgo 13") and at the very end, you had to fight... yourself. Like some kind of clone of you, this super-accurate superspy secet agent. It was basically a super-AI guy that looked just like you, or was you, something. My friend said, "uh-uh" and handed me the controller. My fingers and eyes were killing me, I managed to pull out my very best last bit of effort, and the guy just basically mowed me down, like 4 times in a row, using up all of the lives we had left. G A M E O V E R. We just sort of sat there stunned, looking at the TV. I think my friend quietly cried a little to himself. That's the day I realized that video games might just have a dark side to them. :p

Easiest Bosses: Count Dracula from Castlevania II: Simon's quest. You stand at one end of the room and throw the silver dagger at him while jumping. 5 hits and he's done. Also Draygon from Super Metroid is pretty simple as long as you have a lot of life.

Hardest Bosses: Count Dracula from every other Castlevania game. About 80% of all the bosses from the numerous Mega Man games (The NES Mega Man series is the true test of old-school prowess IMO). Ridley from Super Metroid kicks major ass.

Coolest Bosses: Kraid from Super Metroid. Zephon and Melchiah from Soul Reaver. X'ellthoth's Greater Guardian from Eternal Darkness. And the number 1 coolest boss ever is...Ganon from The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time.

Just to name a few.

The big Dracula monster thing at the end of Castlevania 3D was impossible, but the game sucked, so I didn't care...

Metroid Fusion's bosses are really, Really hard. Super Metroid was easy as hell compared to this game... damn.

Bringing this back to say Ninja Gaiden has the hardest bosses ever in a video game... the first boss alone kicks your ass all over the place. That said, they aren't nearly as hard as a lot of reviews say...
