Zelda PreOrder Offer *UPDATED*

"Pre-order from EBgames.com and receive a disc that contains two games: Zelda Legend of Ocarina and the Legend of Ocarina Time Master Quest."

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categorie...p?pf_id=220147

I have been waiting for this offer to come to the us... My copy is now officially reserved, it may come out a little more expensive since shipping is added but hey, it has a free zelda game with it!!

Yup, my pre-order is placed. EB better not just be posting that because of something they "heard". If this isn't confirmed, i'm gonna be pissed.

Well, it definately is NOT "confirmed", but I'd say the fact that it's on EBGames.com makes it very "likely"

How is it _NOT_ confirmed? Ill tell ya what if I dont get it ill tell ebgames.com to kiss my ass and take back that preorder I put in this morning... and then freak on them for posting something that wasnt confirmed...

And aint there a law or something that would make a change like that illegal?

Wishful thinking I know

I was just saying it wasn't official since the press release on Gamespot yesterday went out of it's way to specifically mention that a decision on wether or not to release the bonus discs in the US hadn't been made yet.

I too emailed them regarding this, and here's the reply I got. I also responded to them and asked if the people who preordered would get this disk when Nintendo had everything ironed out.

Quote:
Nintendo is still working on the details concerning this offer. As soon
as we receive more information concerning the promotion, we will post
the details back to the site (EBgames.com). We apologize for the lack
of information concerning this item and are working quickly to obtain
the best information as quickly as possible.
UPDATE The EBGames rep responded with "Yes, all pre-orders will include the bonus disc."

Anyone know if you can pre-order at one EB and pick-up at another? I'd like to reserve this ASAP but I'm moving back home in like 2 weeks.

As far as pre orders go I think they are on a store to store basis... As far as I know each store keeps a list for themselves

Well, I emailed EB again about the pre orders, they said anyone who orders it will get the preorder bonus, whatever it may be... Also the website now says "An exciting pre-sale offer will be announced soon. Pre-order now to lock in this bonus offer!
"

Software Etc in our mall here in Ames IA had a sign up that said preorder Zelda and get the bonus disc, and they said that was the only way to get the disc. I didn't know if they have conformation, but I didn't know it was a problem till reading this thread, I'll investigate further.

Well, I pre-ordered it the other day, so hopefully we'll be getting the bonus disc with the extra games on it, I don't see any reason why not since Japan got it. Does anyone know if the games are supposed to look any better after being ported over? Like better textures, or that sort of thing?

Went to gamestop tonight and pre-ordered this, as Gamestop has been confirmed for the promotion. It's only 5 bucks anyway

Gamestop is confirmed for this huh? I think this is another case of the store jumping the gun, because (at least as far as their website goes + everything Ive read on IGN) it is still unconfirmed... but hey maybe they no something that we dont lol

I work for Gamestop, and yes, it is confirmed. The first 100,000 reserves nationwide will get the 2 games with their zelda when they pick it up. When 100,000 reserves have been sold we will stop advertising it.

Just go ahead and pre order it, if they don't do it you can always get your 5 bucks back and get it elsewhere. But I would say its a sure thing.

Just got this email from EB:

Quote:
Hello from EBgames.com!

Thanks for choosing us. Since you pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: The Wind
Waker from us we are writing to inform that you will also be receiving a
limited edition bonus offer. Nintendo has announced that they will be
releasing two fully playable Gamecube versions of previous Zelda games to
complement the release of The Wind Waker. The two titles will be the
Ocarina of Time, which was originally released for the N64, and the same
disk will also contain the Ocarina of Time Master Quest. The second title
is an updated release of the original N64 version which was never released
outside of Japan!

If you would like to receive this bonus offer when we ship The Wind Waker
(currently releasing on 3/24), you do not have to do anything further. We
will add it to your order and there will be no additional cost.

The bonus offer is set to be available on February 17th and we realize many
of our customers would like to receive it at that time. We will be happy to
send it to you on or near February 17th. If you choose this option you
will incur an additional $5 charge to cover the cost of shipping. You will
be charged shipping for The Wind Waker and the bonus disk at the time the
bonus disk ships. If you would like to receive the disk early, please
respond to this email with "Bonus Disk Early" in the subject line. We will
take care of the addition immediately and send a confirmation back to you.

Remember, if you do not mind waiting until the release of The Wind Waker to
receive your bonus disk, you do not need to respond. We will make the
addition to your order and there will be no additional charge.

Should you have any questions about this, please feel to include those in
your response. If you prefer, you can call us at 877-432-9675. Our hours
of operation are 8 am to Midnight, 7 days a week, Eastern Standard Time.

Best Regards,
EBgames.com Customer Service
Guess it is confirmed after all, I think I will be paying the extra 5 bucks to have it shipped early i havent totally decided yet though

I hadn't heard about this: Amazon.com is offering the bonus games separately, and has them for $70. They say the games will come out in February, over a month before the release of the new game. However, they point out that you'll get the games free if you order the new Zelda game... so why pay $70 for them alone when you can get them and another game for $50? Anyway, see it here.

Buyer beware at amazon. It looks like you need to use a promotional code to get the disc. I could imagine many people not realizing that...

Well i just noticed the ad in the new EGM and the ad says from EBGames that we can pick up the Bonus discs as of the 17th of Feb if you have $15 own on your reserve. So i guess if you pre-ordered at the store no $5 penalty/additional charge is added. I didn't realize we can get that early Already have $20 down
