Xbox No more SEGA on XBOX?

Just read on IGN that SEGA dropped development on XBOX... true?

Here's the question posted on the IGN Mailbag:

Quote:
Are there any fighters in the pipeline for my favorite cube? Now that Sega is shutting down Xbox development and Virtua Fighter is on the PS2's Greatest Hits, how about Sega bringing it over to GameCube?
And the answer didn't contradict the SEGA part, which they would usually do, but I heard nothing about this...

Obviously not, though it could still mean no more NEW games...?

I hope its just bad info... Xbox is personally my fav system overall and Id hate to see sega stop making games for it, especially after the stellar job they did with nhl2k3...

As far as the DC games go, if they price them low, like 20$ low the series might do decently, Dynamite Cop was a fun beat em up to play with friends that I wouldnt mind having on the box for a small timekiller...

It's BS, SEGA has plenty of officially announced 'new' games in the pipe for XBOX, including:

NCAA College Basketball 2K3
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2
World Series Baseball 2K3
Outrun 2
Spikeout X-treme
Farnation

Believe me, if SEGA dropped support for XBOX (MS would buy them off before that would happen, anyway), you'd hear it somewhere first before some reader in IGN's mailbag Perhaps the reader got confused and was thinking that since SEGA dropped their sports line on Gamecube, they would replace it with VF4?

Maybe he meant they dropped VF4 for XBOX? IGN usually would say "where the hell did you hear that?" and instead they just said "fighters for the cube are...", which is why I was worried...

VF4 hasn't been announced or dropped for XBOX at this point. Again, no reason to worry over what a single reader says when no gaming news site has reported the info. If I said that Nintendo was going to stop making Gamecubes tomorrow without any credible source, would you also start getting worried?

If IGN read it and didn't disagree maybe Seriously, I thought I might have "missed" the news, that's all. That's why I was asking... I looked more into later and realized it was probably wrong, which I posted. I agree with you...
