did have my first tonight, first time playing unreal online too, wish i could remember the gamertag, my guess is "Jace" but cant be sure, just kept asking all kinds of rude and stupid questions

I am getting live next week for my birthday and was wondering if you have problems with people disconnecting from you while playing a game with them. My friend has the PS2 adapter and we play madden, but people always disconnect when they are gonna lose and it really sucks. We still get win but it is just annoying.

ive seen people do this when they are about to die, but since in unreal its based off multiple kills not one game, its not very common

First of all, I'd just like to say that, for the most part, my experiences on XBox Live have been great. I have made alot of friends as evidenced by my growing buddy list. And most of those have been from playing my favourite XBox Live game, motoGP.

However, while playing MGP, I have come across players that are just jerks online. Its usually not what they say but more what they do. These idiots, start to drive backwards on the track and deliberately try to hit you head on! Others try to set up little roadblocks in hairpin turns for people to crash into. And the truly sneaky ones will race with the rest of the players but will intentionally come up beside you and nudge you off the road! If these guys want to do this kind of crap, heres an idea, host your own game and tell the other players what you're gonna do! I think these jerks are just frustrated that they can't seem to keep up with the rest of the pack and take out their frustrations on us by doing these annoying things.

Fortunately, the host can kick them out the game and the good players can give them poor gameplay feedback even after they've left the room. Plus, if you don't like what someone is saying you have the option of muting them.

I can't recall the names of these poor sports but the next time it occurs I'll note the name and post it here. It may become a long list.

One thing with "quitters." Everyone on XBOX Live has stats. If you quit a game, it goes down as an automatic loss in your stats, and the other person gets an automatic win. So if a person plays 10 games, wins 2 and quits 8, their record will be 2 wins and 8 losses. So there is really no benefit to quitting, as it will not avoid a loss. Likewise, if someone quits on you, you will be credited with the win. So it all works out OK.
