The Return of the X-Files

from IGN

Quote:
IGN confirmed with Sierra Studios today that an original, forthcoming X-Files game is in development for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in spring 2003.

The upcoming X-Files game, as of yet untitled, is a single-player survival-horror game in development with Black Ops (Street Hoops, Knockout Kings, BlackDawn) for PS2 and Xbox, and scheduled for a Q2 2003 release date. The voice-overs will be performed by former X-Files stars Jillian Anderson (Dana Scully) and David Duchovny (Fox Mulder). Sierra Entertainment and Fox Interactive will co-publish the title.

"Yes, the game does exist," said a Sierra spokesperson. "And a formal announcement will be forthcoming."

If they actually put time and money into the development this could be really cool... but they probably won't.

Also it's Gillian Anderson, not Jillian, but I assume that was their mistake.

Two old games played by me on the same day, and thus, two revived threads.

This game is awesome. I picked it up at a used store for $8 in perfect condition... I forgot it existed. I played about a half hour of it so far and it was awesome... AWESOME I SAY... but only for an X-Files uber-fan like myself. It's got nothing on Silent Hill unless you love it simply because it's competent, like I do, because you are an uber-fan.

It nails the tone of the show, and it even supports widescreen... woot!

This is a great game. I bought it in 2004, and it plays out really well. I have the first game for the ps1, but i haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I'm a big fan of The X-Files, so getting both games was a must.

I have the first game on PC and it's pretty damn awful. Watch movie clip, click button, watch movie clip, click button... etc. etc... Worth a play-thru for uber-fans like us I suppose, but not a good game at all.
