Should I play Silent Hill 1 before I play Silent Hill 2 and 3?
Just curious seeing as how I'm relatively new to Playstation and I don't know a whole lot about the game. I have heard that it's awesome and scary, but are the stories connected in any way and are there any in-jokes?

I'd say it's not really necessary. The sotries are all so ambiguous and creepy that they never really even try to acheive any sort of continuity that I've noticed.
The only thing they really all share in common is setting and theme, so you should be fine whichever you decide to play first ![]() |

I played 2 without playing 1 at all and still thoroughly enjoyed it. So my answer would be no.
A warning though. This game will get to you. THE creepiest atmospheres EVER in a video game. Enjoy.
