Unhappy Metal Gear Solid 2 tips. I suck.

Finally rented MGS2:Substance and I su-uck. Something about the controls doesn't agree with me. So far it's been a cool game but I can't get past the first level. I messed around with the VR missions some but they didn't help much. I still suck. Help!

Where you stuck? I am playing through the Tanker/Plant mission and enjoying it quite a bit (although all the cinemas are getting annoying).

I haven't really tried the VR missions yet, I have always hated those, too hard for me

Where the hell do I find a gun in the first level. I need to get rid of some laser trips with it.

You can crawl under the laser to get past them.

Ahh, Metal Gear. Perfect gameplay, horrid gut-wrenching vomit inducing piece of shit story and dialogue. What a mixture of love and hate.

Yes, you crawl beneath the lasers. I think there is one point where you might shoot them but I dont remember. www.gamefaqs.com is always the place to go for this stuff.

Also, Splinter Cell is 10 times harder than Metal Gear, so beware if you rent that...

Wow, I'm surprised. Most people think that MGS has one of the best stories for a video game (myself included). But hey, to each his own.

MGS does... we're talking about MGS2, which I'm pretty sure everyone agrees has a pile of stinky-poo for a plot... but maybe I'm wrong...

Yeah, that's what I was talking about, too. Anyway, I found it to be excellent for a video game. If it were a movie... :flush:

"We should leave our Genes with our Genes, which should be handed down with our Geans on the Genome with my Geans, then we could take all the Genes and give them new Genes which could make it so that all the Genes look like Genes! Woo-Ha!"

You have to fight Olga before you crawl past the laser... That's what I did, found another way, fought Olga, then got gun and went back and shoot out those plastic explosives (the control panel anyway).

I think the story is pretty fuckin' cool so far.

I'm on the part where
Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):
Raiden has to freeze the bombs.
