Help me help you!

Actually this doesn't help you at all, HAH!, but you can vote anyway...

I'm trading in Animal Crossing (just ain't my bag baby) and I want a new FPS... let me know which one you think deserves the cash...

Things you should know:

1. Money don't matter
2. Goldeneye is my favorite FPS EVER!
3. Sneaking is cool

Based on your love of Goldeneye, I think the obvious choice is TimeSplitters2. Jedi Outcast is number two. Both are worthy titles. I'd skip Red Faction 2, just pick up the original for $20, it's a better game anyway.

If u liked goldeneye you will probably like TimeSplitters2... Deus Ex is no slouch either, that is a very different type of fps than the others.. ya cant go wrong with either one.

Also Red Faction 2 looked cool, ive only played it for a few minutes Id love to pick it up if it wasnt for the shitstation2 (Im pissed at my PS2, it dont play cd based games).

Well, I voted for TS2, since not only was it the best FPS this year in my opinion, but it was easily in my top 5 overall. That being said, with your self-professed love of RPGs, I think you might find Deus Ex really facinating too. I personally didn't enjoy it, but not because of its quality, it's just that it never really "meshed" with me.

I think for you, either would be fine choices though

Do you level up or something in Deus Ex? I really don't know much about it, made the list because I was always sort of interested in it, but I never bothered to learn it's "hook"...

Skip JKII.

Go with Counter Strike. Multiplayer never gets stale. Evolving maps. Form a team and kick ass.

Need a teammate? We could be team [DVDFile]!!

Hmm... check out the new threads!

Then what about this book, Animal Crossing and Me: This Sort of Thing Is My Bag Baby, by MooglePorn?

(I'm sorry, I quoted Austin Powers.)

In Deus Ex (if i remember correctly) you can sort of level up by doing body augmentation using nanomachines... gives you all kinds of special abilities and strong/weak points.. depending on how u do it you can play the game differently

Get Timesplitters 2 for Gamecube. Jedi Knight II is better on PC than Gamecube, and the Mac version is as good as the PC version.

I assume that Timeplitters 2 is best on XBOX... correct? And does anyone here have some play time with Nightfire. I know Agent Under Fire sucked, but Nightfire has gotten some damn good reviews and I'm a big Bond fan...

I've played Nightfire. Vast improvement over AUF. The missions are a lot better, as they're actual spy-like things to do this time. ie, sneaking around a dinner party taking pictures of guests, sneaking past snipers, etc. It's pretty darn good, but can get really frustrating sometimes, and the car levels are nothing to brag about.

I've been playing the PC version, but I heard XBOX has the best port if I heard correctly, with GCN in a close second.

Maybe you should look into Serious Sam if you have an xbox. Someone said it is $19.99 at Kaybee Toys, I am going to check it out to see if it is true, if so, it is a very fun action packed FPS...

I didn't really liked any of the FPS you listed. I don't know, they just bored me....

That's way worth getting at that price. I'll have to look into that...

I agree with Sublime regarding JKII for the pc. I can't imagine the controls on the console version.

007 Nightfire was pretty good. I rented it on Gamecube and enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as Goldeneye, but it was enjoyable.

TimeSplitters 2 is your way to go. Resembles GoldenEye the most, IMO...

I got Nightfire because I read that Timesplitters 2 was getting a re-release with on-line support...

Nightfire is a damn good game, put all the Agent Under Fire bias aside and at least rent it... XBOX version looks damn pretty and the whole thing feels like a Bond movie... even the dialogue is good... Bond fans, it's a must buy
