Well, I got Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell as a gift today, and I must say...WOW! What a truly awesome game. I have never been into the spy genre (Metal Gear Solid, etc) because I never honestly gave it a chance. The first time I played MGS I think I was expecting something completely different, so I didn't care for it too much. After playing SC, I think I'd also love to play Metal Gear Solid: Substance, too.
Well, on to my game experience. I got to the Police Precinct, and I kept getting into this one alarm I didn't know how to avoid, so I stopped playing. Actually, I decided to erase my game because now that I had practice, i felt I could do a lot better going through the beginning again. I only had a few bullets, had been shot a couple times, and this one alarm I couldn't understand (where it was???) so I just decided I'd restart when I had more time to play. For the most part it's super cool. I love the sneaking around, and there were a couple of times I didn't mind re-loading a checkpoint, even though i passed the objective, just so I could feel better about my execution. That's rare in games, I usually don't do that. Anyway, I'm really happy with it, and I can't wait to start it "for real" and get past that goddamn alarm! |
