Thumbs down Splashdown 2 track design

I read an article on GamePro with screenshots of Splashdown 2... Apparently the devs are moving away from the somewhat realistic level design of the first Splashdown, and changing the scenery to kart-style backgrounds... I mean, stuff like the below picture is not only illogical, but lame too. If Splashdown strays from the somewhat realistic control and gameplay of the first title, and instead turns into an SSX-style game, I'm pretty sure I won't be buying it.

It's like WaveRace meets Hydro Thunder. Yeah, I have to say I'll give it a whirl just so I can say that I did, but I doubt this will be working for me either.
