PC demo downloads
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good game demo site. I've been searching and browsing around for a while, but haven't settled on anything really. It seems that it's the norm now to have to register to download the stuff. Anyways, what are your favorite sites?

I usually use gigex to download game demos, comes built in with a download manager.

Without registration: www.filefront.com
With registration: www.fileshack.com, www.fileplanet.com (both have lineups for the more popular downloads. Fileshack has the best bandwidth I've ever experienced - 1.1MB/sec at work!  )

I use Fileplanet - despite not being a "subscriber". The queues are a PITA, but all the files I need are there.

My favorite is...
Megagames.com Not only do they have demos but they also have patches, cheats, tips and tricks for not just PC games, but console games as well. (well..not patches for the console games but you know what I mean) |

I'll give another shoutout to www.filefront.com as long as the servers aren't full, which isn't very much, they consistently have fast downloads.
www.3dgamers.com is also a very good site which I use alot. www.fileplanet.com if all else fails and no other site is working for ya, go with fileplanet, yeah, there's often a long wait, but on average you get a good fast connection when you do finally connect. Agalloch |
