edited: After reading this I checked out prices on eBay for the whole package. Here's a link to the auction I speak of. It's going for $130 though. A bit too much for this device. Funny thing though... they used the same phrase ("interesting read") to describe the article.

Well, I did the unthinkable. I have purchased the Trance Vibrator for Rez. $48 was my total after shipping. I should have it within a week.

I got this in the mail today. It's quite... uh... interesting. It's really intense. I had it between my arm and my stomach, juggling that and the controller, my arm started going numb.

So it works fine on a unmodded, North American PS2? I was thinking about getting one of these for the SO, but I hadn't gone as far as hunting one down to buy anywhere.

BTW, do you have Rez or did you get it to work with another game?

It works perfectly fine with my North American copy of Rez. At first I thought the Trance Vibrator just went with the standard rumble of the controller but after a few minutes you start to notice the differences between the two... which would lead me to believe it's software controlled, rather than just hardware. Despite that observation, I tried it with Frequency anyway but it didn't work.
