"February 21, 2003 - Today, publisher Activision has confirmed that its Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray extreme sports title is no longer in development for the Nintendo GameCube.

Originally announced for all three major consoles, the game had been scheduled for a March 2003 release on the Cube until now. Representatives from Activision stated that the company had recently reevaluated its upcoming software line-up and decided it best to only release the game on the PS2 and Xbox this spring, in addition to a handheld version on the Game Boy Advance. No further details were divulged regarding the cancellation, but we are definitely as disappointed to hear the news as all GameCube fans are."

I keep hearing that Gamecube is not doing well. Is this kind of news further proof of that?

I don't think it's entirely necessary to post every Gamecube cancellation or rumoured Gamecube cancellation. We know you're just posting "significant news items" but it's starting to seem a little creepy.
