Wario Ware, Inc. - Mega Microgame$'s story is based on Wario trying to make money by developing thousands of "microgames" cheaply to make money fast. Most of the actual gameplay revolves around these "microgames."

The above image is a magazine scan of the upcoming GBA game Wario Ware, Inc. - Mega Microgame$. If you look at the caps, most of them are of old NES and SNES games.

According to our Japanese correspondent, Bakudan Yoshinoya, the magazine's headline translates to "Play Popular Games Like Mario, Zelda, and Metroid (Only for 1 or 2 Seconds)". You read that right. Made in Wario apparently features the most mini-games ever found in a Nintendo title, and each one lasts only for a few seconds. Some of the mini-games, or "petite-games" as Nintendo Dream calls them, are original creations, while others are based on tiny snippets of classic Nintendo games. (The term "Microgame" in the American title is probably referring to the same thing.) For instance, one takes place during the final battle of Metroid, and you try to defeat Mother Brain by pressing the buttons rapidly. Another drops you right into the middle of an F-Zero race, and you have to pass another car or survive a long jump. Other mini-games take place within Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and probably many other Nintendo favorites. It seems the game will move at a chaotic place, throwing you into these situations abruptly and possibly in rapid succession.

It's pretty disapointing that you can't play the full games but this still sounds intriguing (sp?). One step closer to some NES compilations?

Here are some impressions of this game. I have to admit, even though it sounds like there is practically no lasting appeal I am still really interested in this game.

I played a bit of this the other day. . . maybe it gets more fun when you get into it more. . . but, it was a little random.
