What's this game about? If I didn't know any better it sounds like an adult game.

Jane's is um, probably the biggest military reference publisher in the world. They publish a HUGE book of the world's planes every year, along with a big one for military naval vehicles every year. I think they have some other ones, too. I have a... '96 edition of the Jane's plane one, and it probably weighs at least 10 pounds. They do a bunch of other reference stuff, too. EA licensed them out for a bunch of sim games, which are all pretty good and realistic. I remember Jane's ATF and Navy Fighters from the middle 90s on the PC... ahhh, nostalgia.www.janes.com http://catalog.janes.com/catalog/pub...&product_id=89 Yearbook 2003-2004 USD 630.00 I paid $5 for my '96 edition at a library sale.

This game was already released on PC and was a real disappointment. It had potential, but was obviously unfinished. One of the selling points was that a bunch of guys playing online could assume the different gunner positions in a B-17. Only thing was, you could only attack other human online pilots. You could not engage AI planes. Since only around 6 guys could fly at once, that meant that once the bomber was crewed, all you could do was fly around and sight-see!
I have bought Jane's/EA games for PC in the past that were fun to fly, like WWII Fighters, F/A 18 and USAF. It'll be interesting to see if Attack Squadron works better as a console game. |
