Xbox DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball -- I don't get it.

I have spent about two hours playing this game, and have probably spent little more than 10 minutes actually playing volleyball. I spent most of those two hours trying to get someone to be my partner so I could actually play a game of volleyball.
I realized when I got this game that one shouldn't get it "just" for the volleyball but I expected more than just watching girls stretch and hop on floating "things" in a pool.
So, what's the point? And, if there is one, how to I get to it?

Yeah, the volleyball is more of a bonus game...lol. The focus is definately CG T&A. It's amusing for awhile, but it gets old.

Yah its like an adult simulation more than sports. I know there isnt anything sexually adult, but I still look at getting a partner getting another sex buddy. The actual volleyball is kinda fuzzy with the controls.

But, nothing wrong with CG T&A.

If you read the manual it's pretty easy to get and keep a partner. Just look at each girl's favorite color/stuff and buy/give them stuff of that color every chance you get. If you choose to have Lisa's help at the beginning, you can get Lisa and keep her for the entire game quite easily.

The pool pillow game is just there to get you accustomed to the analog sensitivity of the XBOX controller buttons.

The point is to get/keep a partner, and kick as much ass/make as much money as possible over the period of vacation, while collecting as much stuff as possible and having fun along the way.

The first time I got the game, I couldn't get a partner to save my life. But once you become accustomed to getting one, you'll play a LOT of volleyball which is great fun. One of the things to look for are the little flowing musical notes that come from the picture of the girl on the bottom left of the screen. If there aren't any notes, the girl hates you - move along, if the notes are flowing slowly from her, she kinda likes you - work with her a bit. If the notes are coming fast, she REALLY likes you and will probably partner with you if asked.
You gotta really learn what the ladies like and give it to them as gifts. Read each of their bios in the manual, that will help you pick out the right thing.

The volleyball is a bonus game in this title.... It is more of a friendship simulator than anything else (and gratuitous shops of underage girls in skimpy bikini's, if that's your thing).

Anyway, I don't like the game, but alot of people did. My friend swore by it and spent like 40 hours on it. Me? I played it for 1 night, and realize that this game isn't for me. You might be in the same boat.

But that's not what the game is about. Once you master the art of gift giving, you'll play a LOT of volleyball. Like three to four matches a day. Multiply that times the number of days you stay there and that equals a TON of volleyball. Which is great fun.

I firmly believe that DOAXBV is either a game that you get (meaning that you click with) or you don't. Personally, I click with it very much, and NOT because of the well-rendered females. I like the volleyball game (which, as was said previously, you get to do more of once you get good at the relationship aspect), plus the gambling, the pool hopping, and the gift collection. I'd give this a strong 8 out of 10.
