I don't know now, IGN put a big "medicore" stamp on the build that they played. I was psyched up for this game but don't want to shell out 50 bucks for something thats average. I'll probably give it a rent first.

The free DVD sounds cool, but not enough for me to justify spending $50 on, not until I read some reviews (unlike Reaver, I do give a **** what IGN thinks
). It needs to earn a 9.5 or better for me to seriously consider spending that kind of dough on a game.

I like reading review text, but I don't value IGN or any other review site any more than any user on a forum I know who says a game is good or bad. In fact, I'd probably value the forum user more since they actually have had time to play the game without worrying about deadlines. Most review sites have at least 1-5 games for XBOX where I felt they scored the game poorly or missed the point of the game (except Gamespot, where that number is more like 20-25). The one that seems to be the most consistent recently is also the one with the shortest reviews and smallest scale scoring system - Gamepro.com...

Usually IGN's previews are all positive with very little in the way of negative comments on the gameplay, graphics, etc. But, the Enter the Matrix article was probably one of the first 'previews' that actually had something kinda negative to say about a game.
It sounds like they're trying to gently lower people's expectations. BTW, I voted for 'neither' although I'm sure that I'll get the game if the reviews are at least somewhat positive. If I were a diehard Matrix fan, I could probably overlook any shortcomings that the game may have, but since I'm not I'll wait to see what the reviews have to say.
