Zone of the Enders -- Any good?

I was looking around eBay for a good cheap game to get and stumbled across this. I can get Zone of the Enders for $10 - $15 after shipping, but is it worth it? Isn't this a Kojima game? I'd expect his cinema style and I think a "giant robot" environment would work well with it.

Uh, ZOE is alright in different aspects.. far from a masterpiece, that's for sure. I enjoyed it.. but I ended up just trading it in after beating it as it offers basically no replay value. But if you can find it rather cheap, I'd give it a shot. Overall it was decent and you'll probably have some fun with it.

I think ZOE was the last game I spent $50 on. I bought it for several reasons: 1) came bundled with MGS demo disk, 2) it was a Hideo Kojima production, and 3) it received positive reviews. It's one of the few games where familiarity of the dual analog sticks is required, so there's a bit of a learning curve. Thankfully there is a demo mode which allows the player to become acquinted with the control scheme before one embarks in the story mode. The visuals are gorgeous, the action is fast and furious and engagements take place in large, open environments. The only drawback I can see is that it's a short game, but for $20 or less, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat, if I had to do it again. I'm not usually a fan of mech-type games, but if you enjoy games like Psychic Force 2012 on the Dreamcast, but with a mech-style presentation, you should enjoy this. At the very least it's worth a rental, IMO.
