Sammy announced that they have called off merger talks with Sega. Now Namco has withdrawn its offer to merge with Sega. The other two big companies that have been mentioned are Electronic Arts and Microsoft. Sega has turned down Microsoft once before.
Anyway, I don't want to see either EA of MS buy Sega. EA because they are so big, I'd rather see Sega match up with some other smaller publisher. MS because I want to see Sega stay a third party. I don't want them merging with Nintendo or Sony either. Capcom was talking about mergers not too long ago, so maybe they could with Sega? That would be an awesome company. I doubt it will happen, but it could be cool. Konami is another possibility, but Capcom would seem more likely.
