GameSpy
I just purchased a really cheap computer game that I thought would be fun. It's Monopoly Tycoon. (I also have Age of Empires and Civ II:Test of Time). When I was installing it I was asked if I wanted to install gamespy. I said no because I don't know what gamespy is and I am leary of anything with spy in it when it comes to our computer. Can anyone fill me in on what this is and if I am just paranoid? Thanks Glove

Check out www.gamespy.com ... IIRC it's an online gaming portal, allowing you to hook up with other gamers to play online.

I've heard on the net that installing gamespy causes your desktop to turn blue on occasion and print a long discussion on Fincher Vs. Burton. It's also been said to change your screenname on various websites to "whinybitch69", but that is unconfirmed.
Be careful... use virus scan... |
