Question Ghost Recon: Island Thunder

My copy arrived this morning (XBOX), but I've not had a chance to play it.

I was wondering if it uses your Dossier and soldiers from Ghost Recon or do you have to create a new one and build up experience and unlock soldiers from scratch?

NB: I posted this as a reply to a message I found searching, but didn't realise it was in Bargain forum. Wasn't sure if it would get noticed as much in there, hence this new topic. I'm not duplicating on purpose.

I finish work in 15 minutes then it's a 20 minute journey home so in about 45 minutes I'll know the answers to my questions and will hopefully be kicking more Ghost Recon a$$. I really should subscribe to Live too!

Yeah, you should. If you're going to be picking up games like Ghost Recon, I can't imagine doing so for any reason other than playing online. Those games get old fast in single player. Heh, and this coming from somone who isn't on Live and doesn't like online games

Xbox

I started playing this last Friday around 5:30 on Veteran campaign mode and completed it at midnight allowing for dinner break, bathroom breaks, phone calls, and getting ready for bed. I enjoyed the 'Liberty Storm' campaign.

I've got one task left in Quick Mission, Airfield on Veteran and Defend with one soldier. Keep getting my a$$ kicked!

Looking forward to playing co-op and I think Live will be in order very soon.

A few things I've noticed with this.

Like in Ghost Recon there are still some sound drop-outs, namely the sound effects when changing stances and sometimes reloading. They are not always there.

The speech is a bit odd in Island Thunder too, I'll be a female character and when I kill someone sometimes I get a male voice confirming the kill and vice versa, I can't recall this problem with Ghost Recon.
