Genesis Must Haves?

So I happened to find a copy _The Tick_ (I'm a huge Tick fan...) for the sega genesis. Bought it on ebay on a lark (I felt something of a tool paying $2.50 s&h on a $1.25 purchase, but...), so now I have to buy a genesis.

If I'm going to own a genesis (Never had one back in the day...), I want to get some hip games. What are the must haves?

I tried the SNES version at a friends house and the Genisis version had much smoother graphics and way better sound too. So what else to add

BattleToads and Double Dragon (2 player beat up at the best)
Lion King (again found better then SNES version)
Vectorman nice new platform game
Mortal Kombat II and III (but i think SNES had a few extra levels in 3 or in the Ultimate Edition)
Sonic and Knuckles (my fav of the series on Genesis)

I know there is more so i shall return

Castlvania: Bloodlines. tied with Castlevania IV for the best of the series. (the new ones don't count in this ranking, because they are not the same game.)

Shining Force is a must have... pass on MKII+III though, the graphics on the Genesis bit ass...

All the sonic games are pretty good, I thought X-Men was good too.

Side-scrolling beat-em-ups don't come much cooler than Golden Axe. My SNES-having ass was insanely jealous.

Strider kicked ass. I used to play the coin-op all the time, because I didn't have a Genesis. I played the very different and much weaker Nintendo version, though it was still very enjoyable. The Genesis version is a must have.

Andretti Racing for the Genesis is still one of my favourite racing games of all time... crude by today's standards, yet still a lot of two-player fun.
