A few years ago i used to buy games if I didn't like them I would burn them
and then return it. I only kept the originals of games I liked. They had no problems in taking them back, no questions asked. Maybe their policy changed since then, I dunno, but it used to be really good. The best way of knowing, however, is go there and ask ![]()

They changed their policy. They no longer take back opened games.
Can't really hurt to try though. Whats the worst that happens, they say no? Tell them you got the wrong NHL accidentally. Maybe they will give you ESPN instead? Can't really hurt, though it is unlikely they will exchange it for you.

Everyone would just burn it and take it back given they know about either clonecd or finding cracks... but i think the main reason why alot of stores dont deal with returned/used pc games is the serial number issue.
Anyway, if it is a console version, you can try and return it for an exchange, i dont think that they will give you a problem with that |

As long as you have the receipt and the game and packaging are intact it shouldn't be a problem.
They may ask for ID though. I've returned games there that I just didn't like, and they've only asked for a name or photo ID. |

friend of mine who works there told me it was a store by store basis. the corporate policy was not to do it, but individual stores still do it.
