Ssx 3

Anybody got it yet? I'm a little tapped out right now cash-wise, so I'm waiting to rent when my local Blockbuster (hopefully) gets 'em in this weekend...

Please post your impressions! Thanks!

What the hell? I made that "SSX" in the title (as in ALL CAPS) and it did not stick. I tried to edit the post's title and it still did not stick.

Mods! Please help! I'm TOC!

That's Typographically-Obsessive-Compulsive.

This is on my Xmas list. I would get it earlier, but since we are replacing the floor downstairs with pergo, my PS2 is in the spare bedroom with everything else. Sounds like it is amazing, though.

I don't buy many games for my PS2, but I do plan to get this when there is a price-drop. How long does that usually take.. a year?

Don't worry. As soon as I saw this thread my only thought was how much I wanted to edit the title. :p Good thing you asked me to. I don't know what I would've done otherwise.

I just started playing SSX Tricky recently and am absolutely loving it. I can't wait to eventually get SSX 3. I've seen many reviews claim it's the best snowboarding game ever, which I can easilly believe.

Heh... Pergo is a good investment, though. When we build our house, we're going to go Pergo-crazy. I swear by that stuff.

Yeah Marq, an official price drop might take a while. Even a decent used price might be a bit, unless you use Half.com or some such.

Thanks Ikea! SSX/Tricky is one of the few games that I've really, really enjoyed through the launch of the PS2 all the way through to my GCN and now on my X-Box. I love the "one mountain" idea in this one! I read you could conceivably board the whole thing at once, and it would take something like 30 mins... And one of the game testers actually did a continuous string of tricks the whole way!!!

Thumbs up

I got SSX when it came out on Tuesday. All I can say is that I have not been to bed before 3AM since the. If you like SSX & Tricky you will love this game. There is so much stuff to do in this came. Excellent replay value!!!!

Open ended so you can jump in and race or freestyle or buy new gear all while in the game. My only gripe albeit small is that unlike previous SSX titles when you purchase new boards it does not effect your character rating. You must earn cash and buy attributes. Petty but I had to say something bad so not to appear as a fanboy!

I'll have to wait for Xmas to play this one, alone with Castlevania and T.H.U.G..

I loved the first 2 games in the series, and obviously cannot wait to get my hands on the new one. Glad Kaori's still in it!!!!

My brother got it for XBox, and with the exception of the controller layout (I have a PS2, and haven't been able to hang with the XBox controller), I love it! Especially the Super Pipe! I can't wait to get it! I almost looked through my spare bedroom full of furniture from downstairs and hooked up my PS2 to play some tricky!

You know, I got the original SSX on PS2 launch day way back when. Then I had Tricky for Gamecube and X-Box, now SSX 3 for the X. I remember using and liking the PS2 controller scheme an awful lot, but I've adapted to the X-Box one pretty well. I really disliked the 'Cube setup.

...and the Super Pipes!!! I was not expecting much and went into the first one skeptically but now it's one of my most beloved aspects of the game!

I'm going for Amped 2. More realistic plus XSN XBOX Live head to head gameplay.

I want to get this games cuz I loved SSX Tricky. How is that N*E*R*D remix that's in the game?

Well, if it's the remix of "Rock Star," it's pretty unremarkable. That's the only N*E*R*D I've heard on it so far. Again, though, I have to repeat: this game is awesome!

I bought this a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Although I don't think it's really worth $50 (it does seem kind of short), it would be a great to get at $30 or lower.

There are lots of things to unlock, but most of it is really just clothes and other odd items, like a surfboard or cardboard box to snowboard on. The graphics are amazing though (I love the effect of water droplets condensing on your screen) and it has a cool soundtrack.

I ended up buying this game and must say that it's great fun.

I like the idea of unlocking all the secret characters along the way, but it takes a while to build up the points for this bronze medal specialist.

A fantastic game.
