Jeesh. I need the basic maps. I found a bunck of newer maps... but not stuff like de_dust2

Can anyone gimme the hookup?

Sorry can't help you there...... but I am curious.... what server are you playing on? I haven't touched CS for a while, but I can feel the urge coming back.....

Enz, what version are you playing? As I'm sure you know, the basic maps are usually included in the install. Not sure why yours would be missing.

Anyway, off the top of my head, here's a link to the map packs hosted by the 8 Ball Clan. I used to play with those guys on their servers:

If that link doesn't work, you can just go to www.8ballclan.com and click on downloads. If you can't find what you need, just reply and I'll put em up somewhere so you can ftp.

And yeah, I'm getting the itch myself...

Can't wait to see how CS for X-Box turns out... Either way, I'm about to get my dad's old PC and the first thing I'm going to do is install HL, then CS...

I have Counter Stike full-install retail. I had upgraded to 1.5, but last night I installed 1.6 with Steam. If you have a computer that's less than 3 years old, I highly recommmend it.

The graphics and interface breathe new life into the game. Very nice. Just when you thought CounterStike has gasped it's last breath, too. The Game That Wouldn't Die.

I play on any East Coast server that's pulling sub-50ms pings. If my selection is grim, I'll set the filter to sub-100ms, but there's usually plenty of action sub-50.

I'm *ahem* Enzian... so if you see me gimme a shout. If you want to set something up, just PM me. Schweet, schweet.

PS - I have a love/hate relationship with CounterStrike. I'm just too impulsive for it, is part of my problem. My other part is that I suck at it. Luckily for thousands of 15-year old CS virtuosos, I love to play. I am the food that ups their kill-numbers.

So, if you want to play with me, let it be known that I suck mad ass.
