Help a very part time gamer

I have the next few days off and I want a new game to play... these look interesting for the following reasons... anyone here who knows a lot more about them than I want to jump in and throw a suggestion out?

The X-Files: Resist or Serve - I am an X-Files Junkie and the game is cheap... but it probably sucks right?

Drakengard - I really know nothing about it, but it's from Squaresoft, whom I love, and it looks decent...

007: Everything or Nothing - Worth $50?

Xenosaga - Only $20 now, and looks like a nice RPG...

Haven't I taught you anything Moogle? A game is never worth full price. :p So buy Xenosaga.

No personally experience but I read and breath gaming news....

Have not heard, but usually a starting price of 29.99 is not a good sign

Drakengard - I really know nothing about it, but it's from Squaresoft, whom I love, and it looks decent...

Every game magazine is dogging it out, said it tried to do Panzer Dragon Orta Lite or Dynasty Warriors Lite and failed on both accounts

007: Everything or Nothing - Worth $50?

Said to be best Bond since Goldeneye, feels like a Bond Movie, you know it will be $20 in six months...

Xenosaga - Only $20 now, and looks like a nice RPG.

Steal at $20, highly rated, for $15 if you can get the GGC at Best Buy, if you like RPG's and can only get one I imagine this would be it for the overall good ratings and price value.

007: Everything or Nothing is the best game of the bunch. But if it's worth the $50.00 is completely up to you. If you really like James Bond, it's an incredible game to play through and it has some good replay value. But like Engineer_J said, it will drop significantly in price before the end of the year.

Okay...

Enjineer, is Everything or Nothing basically Nightfire with better graphics, or is it a lot different? I thought Nightfire was OK, but not worth $50...

From everything I've seen and read, Everything Or Nothing is better than Nightfire. It's not just a graphics upgrade, but it captures the bond experience better than any other games. I too thought Nightfire was ok, but the in game action I saw on X-play for Everything or Nothing made it look a LOT better.

So far noones mentioned the fact that Everything or Nothing is in 3rd person, and not 1st like many/most Bond games.

I haven't played the full game, but did give the demo a chance. Based on that experience I will not be picking this one up, primarily because of the simple fact that you cannot invert the pitch, something which is an absolute must for me. I hear that the aiming/autoaim can be a pain in the ass too. It's a pity that the controls weren't friendlier on this game, as the production values seem to be through the roof, and I generally love 3rd person shooters. Oh well, what can you do?

As for the other titles you mentioned I have no comments.

Having played all but the xfiles, I reccomend Xenosaga.... Just be prepared for really long (but very well done) cutscenes while playing.

Well I read some info and took you huys into account and I got Xenosaga... 007 just seems like it can wait, and the others look like dissapointments...

I've played 2 hours or so of Xeno and so far... well... lets just say I wish they would shut the fuck and let me do something. I thought Metal Gear was bad... still, I'm gonna keep playing it and hope it gets a little more interactive.
