If you're even a casual fan of The Matrix films, then pick up Enter the Matrix. Even though the game is lacking overall, the storyline and all of the filmed cut scenes help to fill out Reloaded and give a better understanding of what all is going on with the last two movies. It's not essential to have played the game, but you will understand many things a lot better.

Re: what gamecube game should i buy...
To expand upon my Enter the Matrix impressions - I absolutely hated it. I was just as excited as the next guy when I found out ETM would have a storyline that runs in parallel with the actual movies and even more so when I found out how high the production values were. When I finally got to play it I was extremely let down. The horrid controls really did it in for me, not to mention the bland style, repeating textures, overall sub-par graphics, and the fact that I spent twenty minutes looking for some exit (which I never found) to the first level. My initial impressions were my last.
Simply put, there are a shit load of 3D action games that walk all over ETM. (Most of them aren't on the Gamecube though. )On Burnout - I had fun with it for a while. Then I realized how shallow the game is. Burnout 2 was a bit more polished but I'm holding off on a purhase out of fear that I'll come to the same realization soon after. Frank hit the button with Eternal Darkness. It's dirt cheap and fun. It's been over a year since I've played it though. Super Smash Bros Melee and Mario Party 4 are fun multiplayer games. You and your kids would probably have a blast with those. Last edited by IKEA_boy : 03-29-2004 at 05:13 AM. |

Smash Brothers. Eternal Darkness. Metroid Prime. Shit, even the ported Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Just don't fucking get ETM or Burnout. Just cos theyre cheap dont mean theyre a good value.
Yeah, in terms of cheap money, Eternal Darkness and Ocarina of Time, are definitely the must buys.
