Is "Rocky" any good?

I saw that video game for all formats for $10 at Wal-Mart. I was wondering if it is worth the price.

Rocky is total crap in the controls and graphics department, but if you find it for less than $10, then you should have fun with it. Nothing spectacular but it is fun, but the fun dies out after a few days.

Crouching Tiger looked so bad I didnt even bother renting it.

My Wal-Mart also has Super Bust a Move 2 and Batman: Rise of Sin-Zu... I picked up Bust a Move for something to play to music once in a while (plus 2 player!) and I might pick up Batman soon, despite the fact I know it sucks...

For Rocky, the game can be fun, but Gamespot.com's review cited a major flaw (glitch) in the game's design. You could get away with winning every match perfectly by just pressing ONE BUTTON. (For some reason the CPU opponent keeps falling for it) I think it's the jab button, but it pretty much negates the purpose of playing the game if you can win so easily. You could still take the high road and learn all of the combinations and moves, but if you're losing a fight, all you have to do is whip out your jab game and you're guaranteed a win.

This might be a good secret to keep from friends as a last minute surprise.

Yeh, that was a flaw that really put a dent in an otherwise nice title. Though you can try to pretend it doesn't exist

On another note, Rocky Legends is coming out this fall, hopefully it will be all Rocky was plus more. Ubisoft is publishing it I think, so it should be good.

Rocky is definitely worth $10; like others have said, it's nothing spectacular, but as boxing games go, it's pretty fun. If nothing else, it's worth going through the whole game so you can...

They released more details on the upcoming Rocky Legends, it almost looks like a remake of the current Rocky with better graphics and gameplay + online support. I'm going to say wait for the new Rocky Legends this fall.
