I don't play anything new...I'm too cheap.
I'm in the middle of Star Wars Bounty Hunter. And I'm stuck in the Industrial District! I get across the cargo ships, but I can't get in the pipes!

I played a whole lot of Backyard Baseball 2003 today. Ever since the days of Bases Loaded, I've been a sucker for any baseball game.

I'm suckin' pretty hard on Project Gotham Racing 2, lately.

All depends on where the wife is: if she's on the computer, it's PGR2. Watching TV - Doom3.

I played in the first person view on ESPN NFL 2K5 today. It was the first time I'd done that and it was quite a trip. I don't see how you can have any kind of passing game in that mode. It's fun to pass rush from that perspective though.

I've been playing lots of Burnout 2. Before that I tore though Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds and before that it was Spider-Man 2.

I'm in a gaming glut right now, and I'm loving evey minute of it!

I'm truckin' along in PGR2, still, but the Doom3 side of the house has slowed considerably.

I fired up PGR2 on-line for the first time, last night, and had a terrific time! I guess I don't suck as much as I thought I did, 'cause I was able to hold my own fairly well. I met a couple of great people, and a couple of wack-os. I even garnered a couple Friend invites. That's a fuzzy feeling!

I was able to intuitively set up a game and invite my friends. Ruined and I "met" a 14 year old Vegan with more issues than a newspaper. At least he was entertaining.

I thought he was a she up until the very end, around 1:30am ET. Weird. I guess puberty hasn't struck Mr. MityMigit without any rBGH to help him out.

NHL Hitz 20-02 - I have a created team named the Gulls that dominates anyone I play! My team includes a human named after myself, a shark named 'Sharky', a cow named 'Moo', an Egyptian named 'Tut', 'Frosty' the snowman, 'Klingon' the alien, and 'Goldberg' the clown goalie. So even though the game is almost 3 years past its prime now, I still keep coming back to my beloved team.

Half Life (PS2) - Decent. Some graphics are better, and it runs at a constant 60fps, but it has much more rough edges and jaggies. I never actually finished the PC classic, because I hate PC games, so maybe I'll get through it on PS2. But I doubt it.

Ragnarok Online - I downloaded the game to play the free trial... it's a MMORPG in a SNES sort of style. I like it, and if I were to ever play one on PC this would eb the obvious choice, but I'm more certain than ever that I just don't have the time. I mean... I played for hours and learned nothing.

Currently; Undying. Which I picked up at Gamestop for $6.99 new, and worth every penny thus far.

I played through this one earlier this year as well. Wow! This has to be one of the most sorely underrated games of the last 10 years. Spooky, too.

I'm completely hooked on Crimson Skies. It's the most fun I've ever had online (except for here of course ). Anyone else still playing this online ?

I've put about 22 hours into Gladius, and man am I loving that game. It was marketed as an RPG, but it's not, so I don't know what that's all about. It's strictly turned based action. I guess if you build a character up then for some people that alone makes it an RPG. I tend to differ.

But, aside from that, I really do like the game. Each gladiator fight is it's own beast, and I love the depth of strategy that goes into it. At first, things like armor and weapon affinity ratings didn't matter, but as the fights have gotten tougher and tougher those things take on a greater importance. I'm glad I got the game, and for only $19.99.

Animal Crossing is spinning in my Gamecube once again. I'm about to go to 6:00 AM aerobics to get my card stamped. :p

I plopped Shadowrun into my SNES as well but it feels kind of awkward. We'll see how that goes this weekend.

It is not awkward, it is FUCKING PERFECT. Recognize.

I started KOTOR over, figuring I should finish it before Fable takes away every second of my free time.

This weekend I went a bit nuts with buying new games, and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with all of them. May Payne 2 is a fucking blast, XIII is much better than I'd thought it would be, and Tak really good too. Too many games to play, and more on the way. Ack!

Animal Crossing and Tenchu mostly.

I just keep playing the first level of Tenchu over and over. I suppose that's a sign of a good game when I can stand doing that eh?

Gloworm and I have been playing Ty: The Tasmanian Tiger that we rented from Blockbuster. It's pretty simple, which is why Glo likes it so much.

NOTE: There is a slight spoiler below for Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow. Not plot spoilers or anything, just a discussion of a particular gameplay element late in the game.

- - -

Been doing Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow both online and off.

I'm at the last level of the offline mode and even though I've only played it for a few minutes it's pissing me off. I goddam hate it when developers decide to break up to monotony with levels that don't at all jive with the rest of the game. The biggest culprit of that that I can think of would be the blood levels in Max Payne.

In RB63:BA they decided to throw some stealth into the mix on the very last level. I hate stealth. If I wanted to play stealth games I'd play Splinter Cell or Metal Gear Solid or Tenchu. They did the same on RB63, but at least then it was in the middle of the game which gave me a reason to complete that stealth level in order to further advance onto the other fun levels. Since it's now on the last level in RB6:BA I'm seriously considering not finishing it.

If they absolutely, positively feel they HAVE to put stealth into the game, at least then give me a playable alternative. I wouldn't have been so peeved if being detected only meant I had to fight more enemies or a timer was turned on or something like that. But being detected is basically the same as game over.

That's enough ranting from me for now.

KM
