Acclaim filing for bankruptcy?

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/08...s_6105926.html

Doesn't look too good. Not particularly suprised... Aside from the Burnout series which they lost to EA, what did they have? The mediocre Legends of Wrestling series? I don't really see any future for Acclaim TBH.

Sad. Acclaim used to be one of the best dev houses out there. Turok: Evolution really sank 'em.

If I remember my games right, Acclaim merely published a lot of their best known titles back in the day.

Never been a great studio, IMO... no big loss. Wait... did they do Actraiser?

I was thinking Enix did Actraiser, though Accliam may have published it.

Not a lot a good games in there.

I even noticed a title that doesn't really exist, (BMX XXX for GBA,) and one definitely not developed by them, (Bubble Bobble.) Here's a list of games ported by (read: not developed by) Probe, basically part of Acclaim.

Othello for NES was one of the hardest fucking games EVER.

I liked the Wizards & Warriors series too. It also included Ironsword: W&W 2, and W&W III as well (which aren't listed)

I would have liked to see those ported as a collection to a new system

I see that they worked on NARC... is the development of the new game being handled by them too? That game looks like its gonna be fun id hate to see that game go down the tubes because of this.
