Should I buy an Xbox? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

I've been pretty much away from gaming for about 2 or 3 years now. The last game system I bought was a PS2 when it was released which now resides in my 13 year old son's room. At the time Xbox was released I was less interested in games and already had a PS2 so I passed on it. This new Fable game really has my interest (I really liked the Zelda game for N64) and with Halo2 coming out I was thinking of giving it a try.

So is it worth it to buy one now or should I wait to see how soon the Xbox 2 will be released and see if it has backwards compatability? Is Fable a good enough game to warrant buying a system for?

I think now is a great time to buy an xbox. the price is cheap, and the games are excellent. you will love it.

Definitely. Certainly the best season for videogames I've seen in a long time.

Oh, and get Xbox Live so I can personally rip your fucking heart out come Mortal Monday.
