Somebody please kill Valve and their release date announcement stupidity.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/09...s_6108100.html The game Valve announced would be out on September 30th, 2003 - then later re-announced September 2004 - may now not come out until 2005 due to breach of contract by Valve. Here's a hint. Don't announce a game is coming out until you KNOW its coming out.

This honestly doesn't bother me at all. It wouldn't get much play time from me since Halo 2 arrives in November.

By the time the get this game out, they could be surpassed by other games/engines. I'm still waiting for Unreal 3.0...

Not only the Unreal 3.0 but as mentioned Halo 2 and the very interesting looking 007 - Rogue Agent. Valve shoulda had this sucker done and out the door closer to Doom 3 if not the same day. looks like HL2 is turning out to be Valves Duke Nukem Forever.
