Halo 2 leaked to the internet!!!

Well folks, it's out there if you want it. Gamespot has the story here. I honestly wouldn't risk the ginormous fine to play a month early. But if you have 100,000 to throw away on fines and you speak French, I guess the choice is a little easier.

Fuck that, I think I can wait to play it on my nice new TV, without legal or moral complications.

I read that it's the localized version for France. I wouldn't get it anyway, but the thought of hearing Master Chief with a French accent would be enough to stop me even if I did want it. :p

I don't know how about an Elite or Grunt screaming in french?? Now THATS got to be good for a laugh! Some of the best comedy is watching movies or tv shows in a language you don't know.

Early reports from people who have downloaded the game, appear to be very negative. Perhaps with all the hype surrounding the game, it will turn out to be a massive disappointment.

WELL THAT JUST ABOUT WRAPS IT UP FOR MICROSOFT

Early reports? A majority of the people that DLed the thing from the net probably only DLed it in spite of MS and did it just to say WooHoo! Look what I got!" and then 20 minutes after getting it say "man it sucks!" if they played it at all just to make MS look bad. I'm pretty sure anyone with half a brain won't listen to someone to cheap to go out and buy a game that will be in most everyones collection. I say most everyones not everyones.

Although this sucks to Bungie after all their hard work I can't see this even making a dent in Halo 2's sales. I mean, what percent of Xbox's are modded and can even play it. It has to be pretty small, probably less than 1%. And you figure that a lot of people who have downloaded it will still buy it for Xbox live play.

I think you'll find it's quite lot more than 1%

If I can poke my little head in...

I was really surprised to hear this, but don't let the bastards make you think you'll actually get fined that much. I read that over 25,000 people had it downloading the night it was leaked...good luck to Microsoft finding that many people to fine. I'll be picking my copy up the night of that's for damn sure.

Also, the pirated copy has french-audio only...

Oh...and...Hi guys, long time no talk!

This is the problem with gaming these days. If a company puts forth the effort to make a quality game why not support the people and buy it. But because microsoft is involve people jumped at the chance to snag it off the internet. But the fact that it was leaked definately doesn't surprise me. I'll be in line to pick up my copy at Media Play in Savannah GA midnight on the 8th!
