Asian versions of PC games on Ebay?
With all the major games I always see the Asian version on Ebay, at signifigantly lower prices. Specifically I'm wonder about the Thai version of Klighs of the Old Republic 2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...195803745&rd=1
Is it safe to save a buck and get this version, or should I shell out the extra $25?

1. Note that the shipping is pretty high on that--$9.
2. A lot of times the term "Asian" is used in place of "bootleg" on eBay. That would concern me a bit. 3. Make sure any "Asian" version has an English option, as I assume you probably don't read Japanese or Chinese (perhaps wrongly).

They SAY it's the English version. Even with the inflated shipping it's about $25 cheaper than the retail version. Decisions decisions...

Many things are sold to different regions and markets with a different price. While this game might be perfectly legal in Tailand that does NOT mean it's legal to export it here. Music, movies, software and other goods are often sold this way.
If you run into any kind of technical problem you WILL be SOL. Also patches and so forth may not run on this version.
